CASE STUDY – NOBLE FOODS UK – SHELL EGG PACKAGING CENTRE, STANDLAKE

Launched in Spring 2014, Standlake Free Range Packing Centre is using thelatest technology and most advanced equipment in the global egg industry. It redefines the standard of an egg grading factory.

Designed for energy saving with Health & Safety as a priority, it is predicted to be best packing centre in Europe if not the world! It currently grades over 2 Million eggs per day and 13 million per week. As their southern distribution hub it handles over 25 million eggs per week.

We speak to Michael Raines, Health and Safety Manager for the Noble Eggs Group about our recent project to deliver Evacuation Plans for their Shell Egg Packaging Centre in Standlake, Oxfordshire.

What was the driver in your need for Evacuation Plans for your business?

I was looking to install custom designed Evacuation Plans for the site following a recent customer HSE Audit. Silver Bear were recommended to me by Clive Reilly of Fire Four Ltd.

What made you choose Silver Bear to design the plans?

Is there anything about working with us that you particularly liked?

From the initial contact with Silver Bear the service and support has been excellent, with lots of useful ideas and suggestions being made. These have been really helpful and have resulted in the finished Evacuation Plans being completed with our company logo on each plan making them unique to our site and company.

These look brilliant and I have had many positive comments from the staff on site about how good they look.

The colourful design, clear markings and information make these plans very eye-catching but more important, they are easy to read and use in the event of an emergency.

Would you use Silver Bear again for future projects?

I would have no hesitation in using Silver Bear again should the need arise as the service has been professional, helpful and very prompt. They are supportive and has always offered great service even when I have been making the ‘last minute’ alterations!
